Meet our new family member, Whiskey. Never in a million years would I have thought I would bring a cat home to live with me and my family. I grew up with dogs. My mom, sister and brother are allergic to cats, so they always stayed a safe distance away. My husband is also allergic to cats. Why would I get a cat then? We live on 2.5 acres and have been noticing more and more wildlife making their way closer and closer to our home. Those darn bunnies are eating away at my garden. We would love to keep mice away as well. So, Whiskey is now an outdoor cat. I don’t know what the 1.5 years of his life was like before we brought him home, I got him from the local pound. We wanted a mouse chaser, but not one that was too aggressive to be around our kids. We were unsure of his eagerness to chase things down because all he has wanted to do was cuddle. Until last night. Sam watched him chase one of the bunnies across the yard! Yes! So far Whiskey is the perfect cat for us.
